Overhead
About this site
Everything above us, tracked in real time — here's what that means and how it works.
What Overhead is
Overhead is a single home base for two things worth looking up for: what's happening in space, and what's happening in the sky. Astronautics covers space agency and mission news, upcoming launches, meteor showers, eclipses, the ISS, and a real-time night sky map. Aviation covers airline and aircraft news, airshows, aviation history, and a live flight radar sourced from a public ADS-B feed. There's no account, no backend server, and no tracking beyond what's needed to show you what's above your own location — everything runs directly in your browser.
Data sources & open-source libraries
Overhead aggregates and visualizes data from the following public sources. All trademarks and article content belong to their respective owners; Overhead links out to the original source for every article and does not claim ownership of third-party content.
